Automotive News Weekly Recap for April 20th to the 24th

For the most part, it was more of the same this week in the auto industry. Major auto companies announced their dismal sales figures while the possibility of bankruptcy still hangs ominously over some auto manufacturer’s heads. But that’s not all that happened this week. We did celebrate Earth Day on Wednesday, and predictably, there was a lot of news in auto hybrids throughout the week.

Save Cash on Gas? A Look Into The New Gas Incentive Plans

As most now know, Chrysler is embarking on an ambitious incentive plan for new car & truck buyers, offering a guaranteed ceiling of $2.99 per gallon of gas on select models over the next 3 years. The offer is good during the month of May (up to June 2nd). Hot on the heels of this deal, Suzuki has come out with their own promotion, promising to pick up the entire cost of gas for the summer if you buy a Suzuki vehicle before June 30th.

If you're in the market for a new car or truck either one of these deals could generate real savings, but Auto Espionage wanted to dig a bit deeper into the fine print, to see which deal was really the best (or if either were really worth it).
