The last time we covered the Volkswagen GTI Edition 30, the info we had referred to the British model, and the only image we had was a photoshopped version of the prototype sporting new wheels. That's finally been rectified, as VW has released a full presskit with photos of the final car, along with a new release detailing the features. To recap briefly (you can catch up in full by reading the release after the jump) , the Edition 30 celebrates the 30th anniversary of the GTI and is an overseas-only affair. Under the hood is the 230-horsepower version of VW's 2.0L FSI engine (one extra pony for each year, get it?). Inside, the traditional plaid seats are bolstered with leather accents, the shifter gets a golf ball-style dimpled knob, and there's enough "Edition 30" badging to let others know that this is not the garden-variety GTI.
