As a current owner of a 2005 BMW 745 I was recently looking for a way to integrate an ipod, or more important to me an ipone with the BMW Idrive.
Being that BMW is normally ahead of the curve when it comes to technology, one would thing this would be an easy add-on option. This is not the case. The 7 series unlike the other BMW models does not have the option of a fully integrated iphone interface. Yeah, it's coming but not until the new model release for 2009. Shame on BMW!
That being said I did some more research on where I could find an application that would suit my needs... I found that I could get a BMW ipod integration, but it would cost me more that $1200.00 and the functionality is less than perfect. My next step was to search for an aftermarket accessory that would suit my needs. With all of the Ipod integration sites out there, this you would think should also be a no-brainer.. Wrong Again..
