But there was a time when Enzo himself considered the prospect. What spurred his interest was what you see above: the Ferrari Pinin show car, unveiled by Pininfarina on its 50th anniversary at the 1980 Turin auto show.In the end, the rumored discussions between Enzo Ferrari and Sergio Pininfarina didn't yield a small production run of four-door Pinins, and only this one prototype was ever built. It's been sitting in the private collection of noted Ferrari collector and racer Jacques Swaters, who is putting it up for sale at the upcoming second annual "Leggenda e Passione" event run by Canadian auctioneers RM Auctions. The Ferrari and Maserati auction is scheduled to take place on May 18 at the Fiorano race track in Maranello.Only a one-off as unique as the Pinin could manage to relegate this pair to "also ran" status: not one, but two Ferrari 250 California Spyders will also be up for auction, each estimated to fetch in the neighborhood of $5 million (give or take a mil). S/N 0923GT, a red 1958 long-wheelbase version (like the one Ferris Bueller crashed), was once owned by Hollywood actor James Coburn, and s/n 2377GT is a black 1961 short-wheelbase model. Only 100 examples of the 250 California Spyder were made, making them one of the most sought-after Ferraris out there.[Source: Argentina Auto Blog and RM Auctions via Italiaspeed]Gallery: 1980 Ferrari Pinin

CUPE reps say they're

CUPE reps say they're pleased with the tentative deal worked out for school and hospital support staff who work outside the Metro Halifax area. And well they should be. While details of the agreements have not been made public, the talk indicates the unions got everything they wanted, and maybe more mortgage payment calculator. Deputy Premier Frank Corbett was on the CTV supper hour news last night telling host Steve Murphy the deal gives the CUPE locals parity in wages and benefits with workers in Halifax doing the same job. You might recall it was just two weeks ago the very same Frank Corbett was insisting wage parity was a thing of the past. He danced all around that questions last night short term health insurance. I'm also troubled by the government's inability to tell us what this deal will cost taxpayers. Corbett did not know when asked the question by Murphy. The news anchor then wondered if the government had just agreed to something without knowing what it was going to cost. Corbett didn't exactly deny it. Not my idea of how to guard the taxpayer's purse real estate listings.

A close call for a Halifax mother and her two children yesterday afternoon. A car lost control on Devonshire Avenue, jumped a snowbank, and crashed through a chain-link fence onto a sidewalk clipping a woman. She was holding her two small kids at the time and managed to get them out of the way before she was struck insurance quote. Her injuries were minor and the kids are okay. The car's driver was ticketed. A Toronto mother was recently killed after being struck by a car while crossing a street in that city after she barely managed to push her baby out of harm's way.

The Utility and Review Board has started its hearings on those gasoline discount promotions some are making a fuss about. Rural and smaller retail gas dealers complain they can't compete with the likes of the Sobey's-Irving promotion that, depending on how much groceries you buy, can earn you up to 5 cents off the cost of a litre of gas. These promotions are hugely popular and as lawyer Dave Roberts, Nova Scotia's consumer advocate at these hearings, told the URB, they're an opportunity for consumers to enjoy a break on the cost of gasoline. Roberts is urging the URB to let the promotions continue. Hear, hear!!

Start unscrewing the old windshield systematically. If the whole thing is still in one piece, make sure you detach it from all the ends before you attempt to separate it. If it is shattered in several pieces, wear hand covers or gloves before you separate out the tiny little pieces.auto glass

One of the important part of a car is windshield, it is an important barrier that keeps you in the car. If you don't replace your windshield a cracked windshield (or a poorly installed windshield) can fail during a collision or roll over, allowing you or your passenger to be ejected.windshields
