In the spectrum of recalls, there are potential fires on one end and minor fixes on the other. Today's recall alert falls more on the minor-fix end than the is-something-burning one: Ford is recalling 100,000 2008 F-Series trucks in the U.S. and Canada to fix a weld between the driver's seat back and a bracket, which has reportedly been cracking. Those cracks make the truck non-compliant with federal regulations for seat-back strength. Ford will notify owners of the trucks - about 80,000 in the U.S. - later this month. They reported all this customer's report and accept what's weak in the vehicle. It's a good one really. Ford buyers will appreciate the manufacturer that they know how to accept what's not good in their vehicle. I'll add this up to my Ford Parts Online BLog, I love Ford really. I love trucks too.
