GMC celebrated its 100th anniversary by unleashing the production 2011 Chevy Volt. This was a demonstration of how GMC has been hard at work on new and innovative transportation which will propel the brand forward during the next 100 years. Sadly, though its production has already begun, we are still two years and a month away from being able to purchase a Chevy Volt.
So for now, we must content ourselves with gathering tidbits of information about the vehicle, as it becomes available, without actually getting behind the wheel. Since we are able to access the Volt-o-files on the website GM-Volt.com, we have previewed images of how the Volt appears while traveling on the open road. The Volt is shown in some JumpGM videos within GM's closed course proving grounds in Milford, Michigan. Little is demonstrated in the two minute clip of the Volt's capabilities as it is shown moving at a leisurely pace, though functional views of the Volt's interior are revealed, and it doesn't help that the Coldplay music drowns out all possible means to assess the cars' cabin noises.> Gallery: 2011 Chevy Volt - Live Reveal
