General Motors has announced the name of its Displacement on Demand (DoD) technology. Now to be called 'Active Fuel Management', the new moniker will be applied to all GM 2007 vehicles with the technology. Currently, nine GM vehicles use DoD.

"More than two million GM vehicles will utilize this technology by 2008," said Brent Dewar, GM North America Vice President of Marketing and Advertising. "Active Fuel Management conveys the fuel economy and uncompromised performance benefits this incredible technology provides."
